THE ORIGIN STORY

What started as a loose collective of friends from the local scouts with a mild masochistic streak quickly spiraled into something much larger. We initially hit the tarmac under the highly questionable moniker 'De Bikerboys,' racking up our first real kilometers together and discovering a mutual addiction to the grind.

But as the rides got longer, the lactic acid buildup increased, and the desire for coordinated aesthetics grew, we realized we needed a proper rebrand. In 2025, Les Chamois was officially born. Named after the nimble Alpine mountain goat—and the crucial protective padding in our bib shorts—we traded our amateur status for a custom team kit, a digital headquarters, and the crucial backing of our incredible local sponsors.

THE DAILY GRIND

We are a tightly-knit peloton of 10 to 15 riders, but our footprint in the Waasland is growing. Every Sunday, rain or shine, we host a group ride departing from Klein-Sinaai. Depending on the season and our collective mood, we oscillate between high-paced tarmac pacelines and dusty off-road gravel adventures.

But the suffering doesn't stop on Sundays. We push each other to grind out mid-week training miles, organize annual team cycling weekends to test our climbing legs, and even maintain a dedicated running squad for when we feel like suffering without pedals. Right now, our eyes are set firmly on the horizon as we prepare to organize and host our inaugural off-road monument: the Kiezeltocht 2026.
